There’s a wide variety of ski conditions across the country right now. The central B.C. ski areas are having a stellar season, some like Colorado and the Northeast have been cold, but up and down for snow.
Then there’s Tahoe with a terribly dry season so far, with maybe 40″ – 60″ having fallen all season and less than 10″ so far in January. Looking at the forecasted weather patterns, there should be a shift off of the West Coast by the end of January and the beginning of February, but there is still some inconsistencies in the models. So it is still not clear what lies ahead for us skiers and snowboarders anticipating the storm track.
Not surprisingly though as there is one place that is getting snow. It is Niseko, Japan as evidenced by this killer pow vid.
